Maar als je er m.b.v. books.google wat doorheen scrolt lijkt het een boek uit de counter-Enlightenment zelf van deze socioloog en econoom. Opmerkelijk is dat Spinoza er nauwelijks en niet in positieve zin in voorkomt. En misschien nóg opmerkelijker: Jonathan Israel komt er helemaal niet in voor. Die wordt gewoon genegeerd!
U bent dus gewaarschuwd.
