Craig Lowndes is just seven points behind in the V8 Supercar Championship Series after a bittersweet weekend for Toll HSV Racing’s Rick Kelly as the sport turned it on for the first time in the Middle East.
Kelly all but surrendered the Championship points lead he took in Tasmania to Team Betta Electrical’s Lowndes who staged a gutsy fightback to finish fourth in the Desert 400 in Bahrain on an equally tough weekend for Kelly's Toll HSV team-mate Garth Tander.
