This has been a record-breaking year for Leilani Münter, who spent 2006 running a combination of ASA, USRA Super Late Model Series and the NASCAR Elite division. Münter finished fourth in the USRA Super Late Model Series' Konica Minolta 100 at Texas Motor Speedway, earning her the highest finish by a female driver in the history of the speedway. She is also the first woman in 45 years to qualify for the Bettenhausen Classic at Illiana Speedway in Indiana.
